Walgreens 101

Walgreens has their own reward system. They do not require you to use a scannable card. Their rewards print out when you are finished checking out after you have purchased specific items. They call their program Register Rewards. If you know how to shop in their store, you can really save alot of money. Even possible get items for free after coupons and register rewards.
The very first thing you want to do is get your hands on a Walgreens sale circular. You can get one when you purchase your Sunday paper. If you didn’t get a ciruclar you can view their circular online. You can view their weekly ad here
You will see Instant Savings coupons in their circular. Find the products you are interested in and be sure to clip them. *TIP* You can match a manufacture coupon with an instanst savings coupon.
Make sure you take the time to create an account with Walgreens. You can do so here. After you create your account, sign up for their newsletter. Now, watch your email. Occasionaly, you will get a coupon from them. For example, $5.00 off a $20.00 purchase and other amounts. Print these out and take them with you. You are required to spend the $20.00 before you get the $5.00 off.
When you check out, be sure to hand the cashier your coupon from your email first (if you have one) Then hand the cashier yourRegister Rewards. Next give the cashier your Instant Value Coupons and Manufacturer coupons. Stand back and watch the savings add up!

***Note*** Be sure to treat your Register Rewards like cash. If you lose them, you will not be able to replace them.
